I'm the News Director at WTOL-TV and WUPW in Toledo Ohio. It’s a station that's become like my second home. I began my career in front of the camera as an MMJ reporter/weather anchor back in 2007. Early on I learned the importance of being a self-starter, having strong news judgment, and knowing the elements of a well told story. I made my move into management after anchoring in southern West Virginia and in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The main reason I wanted to go "behind the scenes" was because I wanted to play a bigger role in the every day aspects of the station. I thrive on being strategic, learning from research and working in a team atmosphere. I describe myself as the "mama bear" of the newsroom. I care about the people I work with, and want to see them grow and develop. If I can be a little part of their success than that's the most rewarding aspect for me. When I'm not at the station, I'm with the "blessings" of my life my three boys, and husband.
