Alyson Dutch has spent nearly 40 years answering one question: How do you inspire demand for something the world doesn't yet understand? Her expertise spans public relations, affiliate PR, thought leadership, product and service marketing, advertising, and crisis management. She has worked from Bangkok to Johannesburg and Wichita to New York, managing media, global events, cultural icons, and breakthrough innovations. Known for shaping perception, Alyson believes perception shapes history—and consumer behavior. Her ability to translate complex ideas into irresistible stories has generated ROIs ranging from 350% to more than 156,000% for every client she has represented—an uncommon distinction in the PR industry. As founder of Brown + Dutch Public Relations, she has launched innovations across virtually every consumer category, from food, beauty, wellness, apparel, and pet products to B2B technology, clean energy, healthcare, and solar-powered EV charging. She repositioned thinkThin ahead of its $217 million acquisition by Glanbia, launched the "Starbucks of Green Tea" for Tokyo Coca-Cola, handled U.S. publicity for Sun City, South Africa during the fall of apartheid, helped Swatch introduce its first digital ski timing technology, brought Barbie fashion for real women to market, and helped launch a luxury home brand for the legendary co-founder of True Religion Jeans that generated $1 million in its first year. Throughout her career, Alyson has worked alongside names including The Beach Boys, Shaquille O'Neal, Kelly Slater, Elton John, and organizations including the American Red Cross, Susan G. Komen, Caltrans, the USDA, and the FDA. She also led publicity for the Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA Pageants around the world. After helping launch more than 10,000 products, Alyson pioneered affiliate public relations, founded Consumer Product Events, and authored The P.O.M. Principle and The PR Handbook for Entrepreneurs. Beyond business, Alyson volunteered for 23 years as an EMT with the National Ski Patrol, has mentored a former foster youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and serves on the Executive Board of the National Association of Women Business Owners – California, while actively supporting WBENC. When she's not building brands, you'll find her skiing Black Diamond runs, cycling mountain roads, or meditating in the mountains outside Mumbai.
