Bin | Founder of GlucoForager & Type 2 Diabetes Advocate
Bin is the founder of GlucoForager, a free daily diabetes food assistant available on iOS and Android, and a Type 2 diabetes advocate living with the condition himself. After his own Type 2 diabetes diagnosis, Adey found himself facing the same frustration that millions of people with diabetes experience every single day — standing in the kitchen with no idea what to eat, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, and spending more time anxious about food than actually enjoying it. Unable to find a tool that gave practical, personalised, real-world guidance rather than generic meal plans, he built GlucoForager from the ground up. The app lets users scan or type any ingredient they have, and instantly receive blood-sugar-friendly meal ideas, smarter food swaps, a daily meal planner, and simple daily challenges designed to support better glucose control — all completely free. Adey speaks from lived experience on topics including daily diabetes food management, practical blood sugar nutrition, food psychology for people with chronic conditions, and building technology that genuinely improves health outcomes. He is available to comment on diabetes nutrition, the real challenges of daily food decision-making with diabetes, and the role of technology in supporting long-term diabetes management.
