Master's degree in sports management from New York University with honors in 2010. Began working full-time at The Associated Press, the world's largest news organization, upon graduation in 2005. Spent five years in New York as the day supervisor and covering the Yankees, Mets, boxing and college basketball. Returned to Kansas City in 2011 and cover the Chiefs, Royals, college sports, Olympic sports, motorsports and many other beats. Chapter chair and Hall of Fame voter for the Baseball Writer's Association of America, Heisman Trophy voter, member of the U.S. Basketball Writer's Association of America and Pro Football Writer's Association of America.
