Founding Attorney
McKinney, TX, USA
Jason Burress is a Texas personal injury attorney with deep roots in the state and a career shaped by high-stakes litigation. A seventh-generation Texan and graduate of SMU School of Law, he began his legal career working with a respected Texas law firm where he managed major personal injury and wrongful death cases involving substantial financial exposure. That early experience gave him a clear understanding of how insurance companies, corporations, and product manufacturers evaluate and defend serious claims. Since founding Burress Injury Law in 2008, Mr. Burress has focused his practice on representing people whose lives have been changed by catastrophic injuries or the wrongful death of a loved one. His work includes cases involving 18-wheeler collisions, motorcycle accidents, car crashes, drunk driving injuries, and dangerous or defective products. Drawing on his background in defense litigation, he approaches each case with a strategic understanding of the tactics used by opposing parties and a commitment to pursuing meaningful recovery for his clients. Mr. Burress’s reputation reflects both his courtroom results and his involvement in the North Texas community. He has received recognition from Texas Super Lawyers, D Magazine, McKinney Magazine, Martindale-Hubbell, and other respected organizations, while also maintaining active memberships in state, local, and trial lawyer associations. Beyond his legal practice, he has contributed to civic, charitable, educational, and community organizations throughout McKinney and the surrounding area, reflecting a career grounded in service, advocacy, and local commitment.
