La-Trenda Ross is a dedicated community leader, advocate, and founder of The R.E.L.L.E. Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. With over 30 years of experience serving the community, La-Trenda has built a reputation for being a compassionate resource, connector, and voice for those in need. She currently works with the Hudson County Department of Family Services and serves as a Committeeperson for Ward E in Jersey City, where she continues to advocate for equitable access to resources and services. La-Trenda’s journey took a deeply personal turn when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2024. What began as one of the most challenging moments of her life became the catalyst for a greater purpose. During her experience, she recognized significant gaps in support for individuals navigating cancer—particularly in areas such as financial assistance, emotional wellness, and access to essential services. Determined to make a difference, she transformed her pain into purpose by creating The R.E.L.L.E. Legacy Foundation. The foundation is named in honor of her five grandchildren—Razhonne, Evee, Lavender, Laylah, and Evan—who represent her legacy, strength, and inspiration. Through the foundation, La-Trenda leads initiatives that provide direct financial assistance, host educational and empowerment programs, and create safe spaces for healing and connection. Signature programs include “Bravery & Beyond: A Healing Journey Through Breast Cancer,” as well as workshops focused on emotional wellness and financial empowerment. In addition to her programmatic work, La-Trenda actively collaborates with local businesses, healthcare providers, and community organizations to expand access to resources and build a network of support throughout New Jersey. Her mission is rooted in ensuring that no one facing breast cancer feels alone or unsupported. La-Trenda Ross continues to inspire others through her resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to service. Her work reflects a powerful belief that even in life’s most difficult moments, there is an opportunity to create lasting impact, uplift others, and build a legacy of hope.
