Michelle Behan brings an uncommon blend of military service, federal investigative experience, and courtroom advocacy to criminal defense. Before becoming an attorney, she spent nearly a decade in the United States Navy as a Cryptologist and later worked as a Special Agent with the FBI. Her investigations involved violent offenses, crimes against children, and national security matters, earning recognition from federal prosecutors and national organizations. After earning her law degree from the University of Arizona, Ms. Behan dedicated herself to defending people facing criminal accusations. She began as a public defender, gaining trial experience and developing a reputation as a determined advocate. In private practice, she successfully challenged government evidence and secured significant victories for clients facing serious charges. As founder and president of The Behan Law Group, P.L.L.C., Ms. Behan has become one of Arizona’s leading DUI and criminal defense attorneys. She is among a select group of lawyers nationally to achieve Board Certification in DUI Defense and has served in leadership roles with prominent defense organizations. A frequent lecturer for fellow attorneys, she is respected for her investigative insight, trial skill, and unwavering commitment to her clients.
