I am seeking lawyers and other experts who have litigated matters involving President Donald J. Trump, or know the issues related to this type of litigation, to participate in a practice-focused, non-political roundtable on the topic of managing high-profile litigation. It will appear in Law Practice Today, the ABA’s online magazine focused on law practice management and professional development. This roundtable discussion – where experts respond to questions via email - will be one of two published simultaneously. One “roundtable” will feature counsel who have represented President Trump, and the other will feature counsel who have represented parties adverse to him. (Or experts knowledgeable about this type of litigation. The purpose of each piece is to explore what lawyers learn professionally when legal matters unfold under sustained public attention, such as skills related to client management, litigation strategy, ethical decision-making, staffing, reputational considerations, and maintaining professional judgment in high-visibility matters. Participation is straightforward: • Provide written responses to at least 4–6 written questions • Responses should be 500–800 words total • Editing is limited to clarity and length, and participant will have the opportunity to review their responses in final form prior to publication • Full attribution will be used (name, title, and affiliation) • No confidential information is requested or expected Participants will also be asked to briefly describe the nature of their work involving matters concerning President Trump so that readers understand the professional context of their perspectives. The articles will appear on the ABA’s Law Practice Today website with the standard disclaimer: “The views expressed are those of the participants and do not reflect the views of the American Bar Association.” Again, Law Practice Today’s goal is to create a professional resource for lawyers interested in managing complex and high-visibility litigation — not commentary on politics or policy. ABOUT LAW PRACTICE TODAY: LPT is a monthly web-based magazine written for lawyers that focuses on legal marketing, management, technology, and finance.
