Claim your profileI'm an author, Columbia-trained journalist, speechwriter, public speaker (including TEDxLondon) and Cambridge graduate living in London. My short career spans across sectors, from writing and researching for the Nigerian government to journalism. My writing has appeared in The Economist, The Guardian, British Vogue, Sunday Times Style, Stylist Magazine, iNews, The Republic Journal and others. I have also made a number of appearances on BBC Woman’s Hour, Sky News, Channel 4 News, BBC World News, BBC Breakfast, and more. Whilst at Cambridge, I pioneered the Benin Bronze Repatriation Campaign (resulting in the UK's first institutional repatriation of a Benin Bronze) and conceived and photographed the viral #BlackMenofCambridgeUniversity Campaign. "Taking Up Space: The Black Girl's Manifesto for Change", my debut book, co-authored with Chelsea Kwakye, aims to tackle issues of access, unrepresentative curricula, discrimination, and show the activist zeal of black women within university spaces. It was published by Stormzy's #Merky Books (an imprint under Penguin Random House) in June 2019.For more information about "Taking Up Space: The Black Girl's Manifesto for Change", please visit www.takingupspace.co.uk
