I am a journalist with nearly a decade of experience covering news, from the metro Seattle area to rural and urban communities across western Washington. I have reported and written hundreds of articles on tight deadlines, led and copyedited newsrooms and freelancers, built relationships in communities that helped my team and our news outlet thrive, and produced news podcasts and composed original music for those programs. Working at a series of small operations across my career means I have a strong understanding of the entire process of producing copy in print and audio and an well-honed instinct for leadership and making decisions under pressure.
