Her EdD in Organizational Leadership focused on diversity in the newsroom. As a professorial journalist Dr. Howell has traveled to cover breaking news stories, including the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, Uvalde School Shooting, Idaho Student Murders and worked on missing person cases in order to try to bring families closure. As a professor Dr. Howell has been able to take her real world experience into the classroom to help students learn more about professional journalism. Dr. Howell is a driven leader who has the ability to project manage and take ideas from ideation to conception.
