Claim your profileHello! Amanda Roley here, and I am the Chief Journalist at KREM 2 News in Spokane, WA. I graduated from Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. I have a BA in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism Media Production. I started my reporting career doing statewide coverage of the Montana state legislature in Helena, MT. I later moved to Great Falls, MT where I worked the following positions: weekend anchor, fill-in evening anchor, reporter(MMJ), and producer. In 2017, I started working at KREM 2 in Spokane. I was promoted to Senior MSJ in 2020. During my time at KREM, I’ve won the 2019 RTDNA Edward R. Murrow award for our continuing coverage of Hilinski’s Hope. Then, in 2022 I won the Murrow Award for our continued coverage of rebuilding Malden following the wildfire that destroyed two small towns. I’ve been the KREM 2 crime and courts reporter in the Inland NW for 6 years. As Senior MSJ, I trained our new reporters how to use station cameras, editing, and set up their own live shots. Now as the Chief Journalist, I get to further these training opportunities with our photogs and MSJs as a manager, while encouraging new and creative storytelling techniques in
