Amber is the lead producer for the BBC World Service's Business Daily programme, where she coordinates interviews with high-profile leaders, CEO’s, founders and inspiring trailblazers that resonate with a global audience. Prior to this role, she specialised in financial news production, creating a weekly consumer programme for BBC Radio 4. Some of the key topics Amber covered in her informative programme’s included changes in the UK housing market, mortgage challenges, rental issues and leasehold concerns. Additionally, she produced programmes on bereavement expenses, the financial implications of a divorce, advice on pensions and wills, and updates on benefit changes following budget announcements. Before joining the Money & Work team in Salford, Amber honed her skills in news gathering and production, specialising in investigative journalism for well-known BBC TV consumer programmes like Watchdog and Rip Off Britain. In this capacity, she investigated viewer complaints regarding issues with traders, retailers, and prominent UK companies, including holding household name brands accountable.In 2019, Amber undertook full-time post-graduate studies for a Masters in Economics while concurrently working for BBC Inside Out, a regional current affairs show in Yorkshire. Throughout this period, she was involved in researching and reporting on various topics such as sustainability in the dental industry, pyramid schemes, and the financial challenges faced by individuals living with a disability.Amber began her tenure with the BBC, in 2018, while pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism. After impressing during her initial work experience, she secured a position at BBC Look North, a regional news outlet based in Leeds. Here, she contributed to major stories such as the Salisbury novichok attack, a national election, and the political unrest following the Brexit referendum.Overall, Amber has gained a wealth of experience in her career by working in various news departments across the BBC.
