Claim your profileAngie Grande thrives on being a trailblazer in the news industry. She started her career as a TV News Producer at WKTV in her hometown of Utica, NY. Getting an early foot in the door - she got the the job during her senior year of College. Grande went on to work as a TV News Producer in Syracuse & Albany, NY before making her way to WNBC in New York City - where she spent 7 years as one of the station's top producers. In 2018, she joined NBC News Digital to help develop a first-of-its-kind news show on Snapchat: Stay Tuned. Serving first as Senior Producer, and then Executive Producer of the brand, she and her team built a loyal audience of 11 million subscribers - among the youngest generation of news consumers. Grande is now the Director of Streaming News Channels for NBCUniversal Local -- where she & her team are building & running NBC and Telemundo owned stations’ new local news channels for streaming platforms. Grande is a National Emmy Award winner for “Breaking News Coverage” for WNBC’s extensive coverage of Superstorm Sandy. She is also the recipient of two Edward R. Murrow Awards for her journalistic work at WNBC, and a New York regional Emmy Award winner for WNBC’s coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombing. Her alma mater, Utica University, honored her with the Raymond Simon Institute’s Outstanding Alumna Award in 2020 to recognize her successful career in broadcasting.Grande was named among the “40 under 40” class by Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel news in 2022. “The awards program is supported by Broadcasting + Cable and Multichannel News and showcases the pioneering people that are pushing the boundaries of innovation in the industry.”
