Editor At Veritas News
Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Antara Gupta is a Senior Anchor at AIM Bengaluru and the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Veritas, an independent news platform focused on delivering clear, contextual, and actionable journalism. With over five years of experience across broadcast and digital news, she began her career at Reuters as a Trainee Correspondent, where she developed real-time news judgment and worked on global market coverage. She later joined The Logical Indian, where she anchored and produced over 500 videos, specialising in human-interest and digital-first storytelling. She went on to serve as a Principal Correspondent and News Anchor at Republic TV, anchoring prime-time bulletins and contributing to editorial direction in a high-pressure newsroom environment. Her work included producing flagship programming such as Trending and Debate With Arnab, operating at the intersection of live news execution and editorial strategy. Alongside her broadcast career, she founded Veritas as a response to a broader question: how does news actually serve its audience? Through Veritas, she focuses on building a more structured and utility-driven approach to journalism — one that goes beyond headlines to provide context, clarity, and relevance. Her work examines whether news informs effectively, enables better decision-making, and contributes to more constructive public discourse. Her editorial approach is centred on a simple idea: at its best, news should inform, empower, and drive impact. She views news not as a passive repository of information, but as a functional system — a workstation that helps people understand the world and act on that understanding.
