Armando Barragan is a seasoned communications professional, working at KABC-TV Channel 7 (ABC7) in Los Angeles 14 of the last 18 years. Barragan's passion is finding meaningful content and breaking news for broadcast and digital platforms. As an assignment editor at KABC, Barragan is a dymanic leader who is persistent and aggressive in utilizing various news-gathering tools to generate dominating news coverage. Barragan worked in television news management in Charlotte, NC and was also a public relations manager. Barragan has worn many hats since he entered the journalism world at age 15 when he started writing for a chain of community papers owned by the Los Angeles Times. At KABC, he worked his way up from an intern and production assistant before being hired full-time as a writer and assignment editor.
