We are looking for a personal security consultant, former police officer specialising in personal safety or professional with comparable experience for an interview about solo travel. Sit Stay Roam is a new podcast launching in September in conjunction with The House Sitting Collective, exploring house sitting and pet care. Solo house sitting can involve travelling to an unfamiliar destination, arriving in a new neighbourhood and staying alone in someone else’s home. The episode will examine how personal-safety guidance for solo travellers applies in this setting. The discussion will cover researching an unfamiliar destination, situational awareness, assessing risk without becoming fearful, scams, unwanted attention, online privacy, sharing your location and responding when something does not feel right. The interview will be recorded remotely and run for approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
