Claim your profileMy name is Bill Mich and I am the Assistant News Director at WBOC in Salisbury, Md. Currently, I am in charge of overseeing the content of news broadcasts as well as ensuring reporters and their stories go off without a hitch each day. I also serve as a fill-in anchor on the morning news broadcast. Previously, I have been a full-time morning anchor, as well as a one-man band producing, writing, and editing my stories each day before I present that story on the air to the viewing audience on the Delmarva peninsula. I also have experience producing web content for the station's website and social media platforms. For nine years, I have covered stories across the peninsula. I have covered everything from breaking news to court cases. I was a part of the station's AP award-winning continuing coverage of an arson spree on Virginia's Eastern Shore. Along with being part of the station's breaking news coverage of a rocket explosion at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. I have also had the opportunity to cover sports while at WBOC including live reports from Baltimore Orioles playoff games, numerous stories and segments from five years of Philadelphia Eagles training camp, as well as the Eagles trip to Super Bowl 52. Prior to my time in Delmarva, I spent two years reporting in the Elmira-Corning market in upstate New York. The majority of my time in New York was spent covering news but I had the opportunity to attend and cover NASCAR at Watkins Glen International. With 10 years of experience, I have mastered various editing software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut and become proficient in AP style writing for web-based stories. I have used a variety of cameras from JVC, DJI drones, and DJI osmos. I also have experience as a manager, over-seeing the producers in the newsroom and helping to ensure the success of each news broadcast during the day.
