With 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, I am a passionate and versatile anchor and investigator who strives to uncover the truth, hold the powerful accountable, and serve the public interest. My field of expertise is healthcare policy, where I have produced and reported Emmy-nominated series that have saved viewers hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. I am currently working at The E.W. Scripps Company, where I launched a brand new 4pm newscast and forged deep connections with public policy stakeholders and influencers. I am also an active member of the company's Veterans Resource Group and a board member for Virginia Health Information.Prior to joining The E.W. Scripps Company, I was an anchor at WBRC FOX6 News, where I tackled deep investigative stories for all platforms and delivered dominant ratings for late evening shows. I also completed the FBI Citizens Academy and served as a board member for the Alabama Head Injury Foundation and the Animal League of Birmingham. In addition, I have extensive experience in covering high-profile national stories, such as the Newtown School Massacre, the Boston Marathon Bombing, and the Aaron Hernandez Murder Investigation, as part of the award-winning team at WBZ, CBS Boston. I am incredibly adaptable, infinitely curious and constantly working to learn and improve different skillsets.
