I am a broadcast journalist with decades of experience in radio, television, print, and digital newsrooms, ranging from British Columbia, to the Northwest Territories, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and for the last 16+ years Alberta. My skills include anchoring, reporting, writing, editing, etc. with many years of leadership experience in the aforementioned facets of the media industry. I have received multiple awards in my career including those from the Radio Television Digital News Association (formerly RTNDA) including a national RTNDA award for work on local story angles stemming from the 9/11 terror attacks, as well as the Alberta Media Production Industries Association. I expect a lot from myself to better whatever workplace I’m a part of, and lead by example. I am also a good team player who always has time for feedback or to hear about the next great idea to improve the workplace, while at the same time being available to listen to help staff members and teammates achieve their optimum performance. I’ve been known to share a bad pun and laugh to help lighten the workplace atmosphere.
