For a major news site, I'm seeking an expert to interview for a parenting story on teens enlisting in the military or making higher-ed AF commitments. You should have some knowledge of military branches, recruitment, deployment, and the pros and cons of military programs and commitments straight out of high school or college. I am in Germany - need to speak by noon EST on Wednesday 4/8. Thank you!

I'd like to hear from recruiters from one of the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces who are attending college fairs or events on college campuses and talkijg to young people about making a commitment to the AF. I would also like to talk to more teens for my story. I am looking for high-school and college students who are thinking about joining the U.S. military, or who have already stared the process of enlisting or will soon have commitment or deployment. Please tell me your full name, city and state, and phone number or email address. Questions for both groups below. Qs for recruiters: What is your name and for which military branch are you recruiting? What is your region or city? About how many recruiting events do you attend per year for high-school or college students? What are the most commonly asked questions by potential soldiers or recruits? What are your answers to them? What is the most important thing a young person should know before enlisting? Qs for students: What is your name and for which military branch/es are you considering? What is your region or city? What do you hope being in the military will give you or allow you to do that you would not have opportunity to do if you take a different path? Are you afraid or worried about anything your might have to do or experience if you enlist? Do you watch the news? How does information on attacks in the Middle East influence your plans to enlist or seek aid via ROTC or other programs? Please write in complete sentences! Thank you, Carole
