Claim your profilePhotographer Carolyn Cole has had many exhibits showcasing her work, which is defined by her role as a photojournalist for The Los Angeles Times. Most recently, she has been invited to be a part of an exhibit organized by The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, titled “War/Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath,” at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles. In her work for The Los Angeles Times, Carolyn Cole has covered conflicts in Kosovo; Iraq; Haiti; Afghanistan; and Liberia, where she shot photos of the siege of Monrovia that earned her a Pulitzer Prize. Cole has had her work exhibited in other war-themed shows, including one titled “Witness: Casualties of War” at the Stephen Cohen Gallery in Los Angeles in 2008. Also in 2008, her work appeared in exhibits titled “Into the Light” and “In the Moment” in New York City and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, as well as in the Pulitzer exhibit at the Newseum and in an exhibit on Sudan’s Ancient Nubia, both in Washington, D.C. Cole’s work has also been seen abroad in shows in France and China.
