I am researching a nonfiction book about the films of John Carpenter and am seeking people who worked on or contributed to his movies (such as Halloween, Escape from New York, The Thing, Starman, Big Trouble in Little China, and others) who may be open to a written or remote interview. I am especially interested in hearing from individuals involved in areas such as: Production and cinematography Production design, set decoration, and props Costume, hair, and makeup Visual effects, practical effects, and prosthetics Music, sound, and scoring Casting Art and title design Editing and post-production Cast members and performers Other creative or production roles connected to his films. Interviews would focus on your experience working on John Carpenter’s films, the creative choices behind the movies, their distinctive visual and thematic presentation, and your thoughts on the films and their lasting cultural impact. Interviews can be conducted via email or remotely via Phone/Zoom/Google Meet.
