We’re producing a podcast episode titled “The Frontier Firm” focused on how digital labor and AI agents are fundamentally reshaping enterprise workforce design. We are seeking insights from workforce strategists, labor economists, organizational design experts, CHROs, and academics studying the future of work (please no marketing agencies, consultants focused on lead gen, or vendor sales perspectives). Specifically, we’re exploring the rise of human–agent collaboration and the idea that the human-to-AI agent ratio may become a core operational metric—similar to span of control or revenue per employee. We’d value expert perspectives on: How AI agents are changing traditional org structures (teams, roles, management layers) What a “healthy” human–agent ratio might look like across functions (e.g., engineering, customer support, marketing, operations) How leadership and management practices must evolve when part of the workforce is software Risks or unintended consequences (e.g., accountability, decision-making, workforce displacement, cognitive overload) How companies should think about hiring, training, and performance management in hybrid human–AI teams Early examples or case studies of organizations already operating this way Please include: Your name, title, and organization A brief summary of your perspective (2–4 sentences) Any relevant research, frameworks, or real-world examples Link to your profile, publication, or institutional affiliation Priority will be given to responses grounded in research, enterprise experience, or workforce analytics.
