Claim your profileI’m an award-winning editor and writer with two decades in business journalism, along with leadership experience building a brand in a fast-paced startup environment. Prior to editing long-form narrative features for Bloomberg Businessweek, I ran Marker, Medium's business magazine, where I led a team of editors and writers delivering rigorously reported journalism, voicey columns, a newsletter, and a spinoff blog.I was previously Executive Editor of Inc. magazine, where I led our team to unearth the most incisive stories in entrepreneurship. I spent twelve years as a feature writer at Fast Company magazine, where I wrote nearly a dozen cover stories; profiled business figures from Whole Foods' John Mackey to J.Crew's Jenna Lyons; wrote exposes on green design godfather William McDonough and venture-backed startups; traveled from Mumbai to Silicon Valley, reporting stories about companies of all sizes and industries.I’m versed in all forms of editorial, from long-form to newsletters; from editing 5,000-word investigations to data-driven infographics; from moderating conference panels to hosting video segments and podcasts. My work was included in the "Best Business Writing 2014" anthology; in 2006 I was awarded the New York Press Club Nelly Bly Award.
