Claim your profileI came back the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 2018, after covering the oil and gas business for the Houston Chronicle. In Houston, I wrote about bankruptcies and debts, fracking in West Texas, and the impact of Hurricane Harvey. I previously covered government spending for the Post-Dispatch, including the $380 million renovation of the Gateway Arch grounds, the five-institution tax-payer-funded Zoo-Museum District, and the $1 billion plan to build a new football stadium for the then-St. Louis Rams. I grew up in California, reported for the Anchorage Daily News and Bakersfield Californian, and taught English to seventh-graders as a member of Teach for America. I have twice been a part of Pulitzer-Prize-finalist teams - after a city hall shooting outside of St. Louis, and when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston.
