Claim your profileI am a very outgoing, gregarious person, who thoroughly enjoys working with the public. I pride myself on being a hard worker, it's what makes me, me. As a reporter, my name is on my work, so it has to be solid. But I also believe in enjoying what you do. A job shouldn't just be a job, it should be a career that you love with colleagues that you admire. I am interested in expanding my talents in the job market and venture towards something new and different. Readers have been afforded a comprehensive look into the subjects I cover by way of my skills. I solely uncovered a year-long scandal surrounding the unethical treatment of young students by substitute teachers. The story grabbed the attention of a CBS-TV News reporter Jessica Schneider who read my initial article on both WWW.NORTHJERSEY.COM and NJ.COM and reached out to me.I am faced with numerous Web deadlines and posting of breaking news. My editor relies heavily on my speed and accuracy working along with our photo staff. I possess adept organizational skills and a keen eye for editing. I also bring to the table a wide array of investigative experience achieved while employed by the Rutherford Police Department Detective Bureau part time for several years while working full time as a journalist. This position was in conjunction with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Both jobs exhibit similar traits and complement each other tremendously. I believe in working as a team player. It's all part of getting to know your fellow employees on a more tangible level, which can only allow for the best quality of work to come forth, while at the same time having fun and enjoying what you are doing. I also started my own freelance photography business and have gained positive feedback from local galleries. Please check out my work at www.facebook.com/debrawintersphotography.
