Claim your profilePrior to joining Sky & Telescope I was a research astronomer unraveling the mysteries of microquasars by analyzing X-ray and radio data. Since I started at S&T, I’ve reconnected with the visual night sky and the inspiring amateur community. It was thrilling to embark on a new career, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills. I am passionate about science and numbers, and relish communicating my passion via the written and the spoken word, especially to non-specialized audiences — it’s been wonderful to fulfill this at S&T.I also love the challenge of problem-solving, and derive great satisfaction in finding solutions to problems of varying scope – from unraveling mysteries concerning black holes (when I was in full-time research) to practical conundrums in daily life. I can often be found working on brainteasers, mathematical problems, puzzles of all kinds.
