He has traveled extensively nationally to cover campaigns, politics and breaking domestic news. He has covered every presidential campaign since 2000 and coordinated NBC News network coverage of the 2016 campaign as director of the Politics Desk.Doug is experienced in news management, edit room production, field producing, and script writing.
