During this period, he channeled his energy into regional and civic transparency projects—founding platforms such as EastOklahoma.com and AmericanGovernment.org, alongside other independent media experiments. However, stepping away crystallized where his work creates the most tangible impact. With regional and civic projects winding down, Dustin has returned full-time to TheColdCases.com. Driven by his roots in social work and mental health crisis intervention, he recognized that TheColdCases.com is not just an investigative outlet, but a platform capable of offering real answers, accountability, and advocacy for families who need it most.
