I believe stories carry immense power to engage, inform, embolden and inspire action. With that potential in mind, I'm passionate about telling stories with impact - and helping others do the same. I do that wearing a few hats:I'm a speaker on the topic of social entrepreneurship and "business for good", leveraging 15+ years' writing about and exploring social impact, including as a senior freelance journalist and producer with a varied portfolio and strong niche in social change. I'm a strategic communications specialist and copywriter, helping organizations, entrepreneurs and companies of all stripes and sizes tell their story for greater impact. I also facilitate storytelling and media training workshops. I'm always looking for opportunities to enable others to rise above the clutter, be heard and make their mark in bigger and more meaningful ways (www.ellecommunications.ca) I'm the co-founder, publisher & editor-in-chief of SEE Change Magazine (www.seechangemagazine.com), covering stories of social entrepreneurs (celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2019) - and the host of its podcast where I interview inspirational people effecting change in their communities and the world. I'm the producer of the History of Social Change (www.historyofsocialchange.ca), a digital storytelling project exploring social movements in Canada through videos, interviews and an ebook.
