SubscribeI’m currently building out a full Cork food and travel cluster for Culinary Travels, an independent food and travel publication. Planned and in-progress guides include where to stay in Cork, how to spend a food-led weekend in the city, where to eat, and a dedicated Cork pubs guide. For the pubs guide, I’m looking for first-hand recommendations, expert insight and practical details on Cork pubs with real character and a clear sense of place. I’m especially interested in pubs that are particularly good for: A proper Cork pint, craft beer, cask or local beer, trad music, quieter drinks, cosy snugs, Sunday lunch, food worth staying for, riverside atmosphere, heritage interiors, dog-friendly spaces, beer gardens, independent ownership, or somewhere locals genuinely recommend rather than only the most obvious visitor spots. Useful details include opening hours, food service times, booking notes, accessibility, dog-friendly areas, live music schedules, beer garden/outdoor space, standout drinks, local suppliers, history, ownership, and what genuinely makes the pub distinctive. This is part of a wider Cork editorial cluster, so pubs may also be considered for related food, weekend, neighbourhood or planning guides where relevant.
