Claim your profileI'm a journalist through and through. I joined the about-to-launch BBC News website in 1997 and spent nearly every day of the next 20 years working out how digital news and features would be most effectively told and presented. One of the results of that was the marvellous BBC News Magazine which built a weekly audience of 10m readers.Since then I've carried on the task of making stories and websites as effective and engaging as possible, but now for Harpoon Productions. Harpoon is the world's leading expert agency for the Shorthand platform - the best producers, designers and writers coming together to make the best websites for our clients. In non-work time I run Wansteadium, a community news site for Wanstead in E11, which is nearing its 15th anniversary. I also chair the annual Wanstead Fringe arts festival and am attempting to define what a local online bookshop can add to a community.
