Claim your profileI've always been a storyteller. I was telling stories as soon as I started speaking. Once, I learned to hold a pencil I put them down on paper. My fascination with cameras started from that early age too, but I didn't decide to become a journalist until I took yearbook my freshman year of high school.I joined WFMY News 2 in January of 2020, with no idea that a global pandemic was about to change our world. Through COVID restrictions and work-from-home I covered the Triad's response to the pandemic, calls for social justice, a Presidential election and was our station's go-to reporter for the vaccine rollout. Since I returned to working in the building, the Triad has seen major economic investments from Toyota and Boom Supersonic, a school shooting at Mount Tabor High School and is beginning to adjust to a post-pandemic world. I've been in front of it all, and come out the other side more determined to share the stories of our community.I came to the Triad from Eastern Carolina, where I was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WITN-TV in Greenville, NC. There I covered Hurricanes Florence and Dorian, President Donald Trump’s campaign stop on East Carolina University’s campus, and economic growth throughout the East.I grew up in a small town south of Atlanta. I got her Associate’s of Arts in Journalism at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (Go Stallions!) in my hometown before receiving my Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia (Goooo Dawgs!).
