Beyond the Friday Night Lights and the high school hardwood, we find the many stories of people who have dedicated their time to perfecting their athletic craft. We call them athletes, but often times we forget they are people too. My goal as a sports reporter is to share the many incredible stories of perseverance, strength, success, and sometimes failure, in the hope that we are reminded of the commitment it takes to put on that jersey everyday.
