Claim your profileHannah Schoenbaum is a government and politics reporter for The Associated Press in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a focus on the Legislature, the governor’s office, courts and elections. She also helps lead the AP’s LGBTQ+ legislative coverage across all 50 states, tracking consequential bills, writing enterprise stories and advising colleagues on their reporting. She previously covered the North Carolina statehouse for the AP. Before that, she covered Congress for The Hill and the Albany Times Union while a graduate student at Northwestern University and was a regular contributor at USA Today. Also an alumna of Boston University, she got her start in state government reporting as the Massachusetts statehouse correspondent for the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. She leads the Utah chapter of NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists.
