Claim your profileInformation gathering and communication are my greatest professional and personal skills. That has mostly been in journalism but I have found those skills applied easily to public relations and political advocacy. My background is in local journalism in central North Carolina, which means I've learned about state and federal open-records laws and requests, state and federal court systems, NC county government, municipal government, NC public schools, PFAS contamination, Immigration and Customs Enforcement work with local sheriffs, community colleges, private universities, and have touched on dozens if not hundreds of other issues working in a small newsroom. That also means taking photos, shooting and editing video, and live-streaming events like protests. Our newsroom won the NC Press Association's Public Service award based on my reporting on the local school board, and I won a first-place NCPA award for my reporting on local schools' handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
