I am always open to new opportunities - either as a freelancer or as an employee. My photo assignments have taken me around the world. I have covered everything from hurricanes and space shuttle launches, to famine in Haiti, refugees fleeing Cuba and war in the Middle East. I’ve even had private audiences with Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama in India.

 My fascination with different cultures developed as a child, while growing up as the son of a U.S. diplomat, in Vietnam, Latin America and the Caribbean.

 A 1984 graduate of The Ohio State University, I started my photographic career stringing for the Associated Press. I then worked as a staff photographer for newspapers in Ohio and Florida, before moving to Europe in 1999, to begin my freelance career. After 14 years in Europe, I recently moved back to the US, and am currently working as a visual journalist for the South Florida Business Journal in Miami. My photographs have been published in a variety of newspapers, magazines and even a book or two: The New York Times, Financial Times, USA Today, LA Times, The Times of London, Irish Times, The Guardian, Die Zeit, Die Welt, Le Monde, Le Nouvel Observateur, La Tribune, L’Express, Le Figaro, Der Spiegel, Focus Magazine, Manager Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Business Week, Paris Match, F Magazine, Bloomberg News, MSNBC.com and Wired.com, comprise just a few of my publication credits.
