Joe Dampt

About

I'm Joe Dampt, owner and lead appraiser of Joe's Vintage Guitars in Mesa, Arizona (joesvintageguitarsaz.com), and host of the Joe's Vintage Guitars YouTube channel (@joesvintageguitars). I've spent more than 12 years buying, selling, appraising and repairing vintage guitars, amps and fretted instruments, with a focus on pre-war Martins, golden-era Gibson electrics and archtops, and vintage Fender custom colors. I was also a traveling appraiser for Treasure Seekers Roadshow and have bought guitars from all 50 states. On the channel I cover vintage guitar repairs, appraisals and the history behind the instruments that come through the shop. My work has been featured on KJZZ 91.5 FM and VoyagePhoenix, and I wrote a guest essay for Vintage Verified on authenticity in the vintage guitar market. I'm looking for sources for upcoming videos: luthiers, repair techs, appraisers, collectors, dealers and music historians with expertise in vintage and used guitars, amps and pedals. If you have a story about a rare instrument, a repair technique or the history of a specific model, I'd like to hear from you.
