My work has been published on the front page of the New York Times: a deep investigation into a small town that improperly jailed people. I have been runner-up as Star Reporter of the Year, given by the Texas Association of Managing Editors, for my accountability and investigative journalism on Texas’ creation of a new criminal justice system for migrants, which in part led to a U.S. DOJ investigation. This work also was part of a package that won as Star Investigative Report from the same association.
