Claim your profileJoseph Hudak is the editor of Rolling Stone's Nashville bureau, the home of Rolling Stone Country. Hudak began his journalism career as a copy editor at TV Guide magazine, advancing through the ranks to senior editor and helping relaunch the iconic title as a full-size, full-color publication in 2005. While at TV Guide, Hudak began to write about music in earnest, and upon exiting the magazine after 12 years, he relocated to Nashville, joining Country Weekly magazine as managing editor. He now heads up the Music City office of Rolling Stone, overseeing Country and Americana coverage while contributing to the magazine and flagship website's news, music, TV, politics, and culture reporting. A native of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Hudak hosted Rolling Stone’s Country Pickup video series with Midland and Lee Ann Womack; wrote, produced, and narrated episodes of Rolling Stone’s RS500 podcast; and continues to host various RS live events.He’s also moderated panels for the Recording Academy and at CMA Music Festival, the Nashville Film Festival, Leadership Music, and the Connect: Beyond the Page conference; and been an invited commentator on radio and TV programs. He is a recipient of the CMA Award for Media Achievement, taught Arts and Entertainment Reporting as an adjunct professor at Nashville's Belmont University, and serves on the board of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville.In addition, Hudak works as a bio writer to help artists and executives tell their stories, and is a producer on film and TV projects currently in development.
