The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently finalized three new guidance documents aiming to make clinical trials for oncology drugs more accessible to patients. The documents encourage sponsors to reconsider eligibility criteria by addressing washout periods, performance status, concomitant medications and laboratory values. I'd like to interview an oncologist who can speak to how these documents may impact the current status of oncology trials and what the change will mean for patients.
