I was also the first non-Arlington resident to receive an honorary membership to the Arlington Historical Society for my "many contributions to local history" while serving as editor of The Arlington Advocate, the Arlington Board of Youth Services gave me an award for my coverage of youth issues in town and the American Legion honored me for my coverage of veterans' issues.
