I’ve been managing local and national newsrooms for almost two decades now. On the local level, I served as managing editor of The Montclair Times and editor of The Verona-Cedar Grove Times. During my tenure, my teams earned dozens of editorial and design awards and we were often named best weekly newspaper in the state by the New Jersey Press Association. In 2016 I joined Shelterforce, a national nonprofit publication that focuses its coverage on affordable housing. Our publication also reports on community development, urban planning, neighborhood change, racial equity, and more. I'm extremely organized and have often been commended for efficiently managing projects. I am proficient with AP Style, WordPress, Google Suite, Slack, and I have photography, video, and audio editing experience.
