I'm a journalist working on a non fiction journalistic history book about Los Angeles. At the moment I'm working on a chapter about Hollywood and the movie business in the 1980s and 1990s. I've done a few interviews with different people working with different sides of movie production. Now I'm looking for yet another voice, to make the chapter richer. Specifically, I'm looking for a female film worker, who started to work as a young adult in the 1980s/1990s. It could be any kind of job inside Hollywood – driver, script, gaffer, costumes, actor, director. Basically any view on the movie business, from the inside, would be of interest. The book covers different aspects of LA's histrory, from 16-1700s until today. Most of the chapters about newer history are related to popular culture. I write about movies, music, art, literature and surf/skate, among other things. The book will be published on Cappelen Damm, the biggest publisher in Norway.
