Claim your profileMary-Anne is a Radio Announcer with nearly seven years' industry experience, working in community radio, and since May 2024, working in commercial radio as a Casual Announcer at Adelaide's Mix 102.3 (ARN). Mary-Anne (Maz) Maio was appointed Host and Producer of the Drive show on Adelaide's Life FM (107.9 FM) in July 2024, after nearly six years at the helm of the station's evening show, 'The Takeover.'Maz was appointed Host and Producer of 'The Takeover' on Life FM (1079 Life at the time) in Adelaide in August 2019, after holding the position of Acting Host and Producer for six months. This role sees Maz planning and executing a two-hour broadcast every weeknight which reaches over fifty percent of Adelaide's young people. Maz has also anchored 'Adelaide's Good Taste Breakfast' on 1079 Life on multiple occasions since 2019, to relieve for Rebecca Lane-Seabrooke.In 2019, Mary-Anne completed a contractual position as Diocesan Youth Communications Officer at the Catholic Office for Youth and Young Adults (COYYA, Catholic Education South Australia), leading publicity in the lead up to the World Youth Day Adelaide 2019 event.Mary-Anne's other recent experience includes her role as Digital Media Marketing Coordinator with not-for-profit Organisation ANFE Community Care in Adelaide, Australia.Mary-Anne has also worked for the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide as a Copywriter, and Journalist for the Southern Cross newspaper.Raised and educated in Adelaide, Mary-Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts MBAR (Communication and Media Management) from the University of South Australia, where she graduated in 2016. In 2016, Mary-Anne completed voice-over training with the Australian Radio School.Mary-Anne's passions include supporting the communications, marketing, public relations and events goals of small and not-for-profit companies, particularly through broadcast media.In December 2017, Mary-Anne received the Archdiocese of Adelaide Archbishop’s Award for a young person for their ‘Contribution to the Life and Mission of the Church’.Mary-Anne has completed internships with NewsCorp, Channel Seven Adelaide, Hughes PR, JP Media (Adelaide Fringe), NRL South Australia and the Australian International 3 Day Event.
