Claim your profileMary Catherine Spicuzza is an investigative political reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A Pulitzer Prize finalist for breaking news while at the Wisconsin State Journal, she helped lead coverage of massive protests at the state Capitol over Gov. Scott Walker's proposal to all but end collective bargaining for Wisconsin's public workers. The paper's Capitol coverage at the time also won a Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Award for deadline reporting and other awards. A journalist and documentary filmmaker, her work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, St. Petersburg Times, The Seattle Times and SF Weekly. She co-produced the documentary film Matias about the life and death of a Mexican migrant worker, which was featured by PBS Frontline/World, titled "A Death in the Desert."
