A graduate of Columbia College Chicago’s Cinema + Television Arts program, I have worked in film criticism for a decade, going on to work with Kino Lorber Studio Classics, WGN Radio, RogerEbert.com, The Film Stage, Bright Wall/Dark Room, The Spool, and more. I have been with the latter for over a year, for which I have covered Sundance and Cannes in addition to my regular reviews.I have worked in film criticism since May 2015, starting as a pre-screener for the Hollywood Film Festival and Beloit International Film Festival. In regards to more recent endeavors, I have worked with Kino Lorber Studio Classics where I prepared and co-recorded a Blu-Ray commentary track for Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam (1999). I have also been a member of the Chicago Film Critics Association since 2019.
