Claim your profileI am an award-winning Chief Meteorologist for Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio’s First Alert station, 21Alive, and an Adjunct Professor at Indiana Tech, Southern New Hampshire University, and Colorado Tech. In 2014, I was hired as weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter for 21Alive in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I produced creative stories in various counties across the area and could be found going live at fairs and festivals across the region. In 2016, I was promoted to the position of Chief Meteorologist where I currently forecast and present the weather at 5, 5:30, 6, 7 & 11 pm. I can also be found leading team coverage live on television and Facebook when the weather turns severe.I am proud to lead the Fort Wayne television market in social media followers and social weather coverage, with over 300,000 followers across a variety of social media platforms. I have also won several awards, including three Emmys, a Regional Murrow award for Excellence in Innovation, an Associated Press Award for Outstanding Weather Operation, Favorite Local Television Personality First Place Award presented by Fort Wayne Newspapers, and recognition for being one of the top meteorologists in the state from the Indiana Broadcasters Association. When I'm not busy chasing storms and severe weather, I enjoy teaching, writing, reading (historical non-fiction, mostly!), and doing anything that gives me the opportunity to be with my best friend and spouse of nearly 10 years, Logan.
