I have worked in the news media industry for over many years, across various mediums from digital to television broadcasting.As a field producer, I was fortunate enough to work on numerous high-profile and historic South African news events. My abilities as a producer rests in researching, writing scripts, directing shoots and editing stories for broadcast as well as guiding reporters and anchors through live crossings.I briefly left the newsroom to partner is a content creation and media training company as the organisation's creative director. I had the wonderful opportunity to work and contribute on documentary projects for the African Union (AU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). As a result, I've developed a keen understanding of the socio-economic dynamics of the African continent.During my time at the SABC, I work as a multimedia producer where I acquired skills in multimedia content production. Prior to this, I consulted for the South African Cities Network (SACN), an NGO in the area of urban development and local government, focusing on bridging research outputs with tailored developmental communications campaigns, while creating media and public awareness around issues relating to what makes South African cities successful, sustainable and inclusive.I recently joined Brunswick Group in Johannesburg as an Associate where I begin the next chapter in my journey in a communications advisory environment.Recent work:http://www.sabcnews.com/sabcnews/author/vincentm/
